1. MOU with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH), Hyderabad

JNIAS has entered into an Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on 6th January 2009 with
Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH), Kukatpally, Hyderabad, a leading Technological University with ‘A’ Grade accreditation by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council).

 
   

In accordance with the MOU, JNTUH has recognised JNIAS as an Advanced Research Institute for offering Ph.D., P.G., P.G Diploma and Training Programmes on a permanent basis. JNTUH and JNIAS has agreed to collaborate in making policy guidelines as also design, develop and implement the Ph.D., P.G., P.G Diploma and Training Programmes in the following disciplines in accordance with the MOU entered between JNTUH and JNIAS:

  • Environmental Studies
  • Water Resources
  • Energy
  • Computer Science and Engineering
  • Management Sciences
  • Biotechnology
  • Mathematics
  • Physics
  • Chemistry

The terms and conditions of the said MOU include the following among others:

  • The Ph.D., P.G., P.G Diploma and Training Programmes in the above disciplines shall be offered jointly by JNTUH and JNIAS. 
  • JNTUH contribution shall be in the form of finalizing the policy guidelines and act as facilitator in achieving implementation of the Ph.D., P.G., P.G. Diploma and Training Programmes.
  • The Academic Council of JNIAS shall be responsible for achieving implementation of the Ph.D., P.G., P.G. Diploma and Training Programmes. JNTUH will subscribe one or more members towards the Academic Council as deemed fit.
  • JNTUH shall provide academic support on all the issues for successful completion of the Programmes leading to award of Ph.D., P.G., P.G. Diploma and Training Programme Certificates and will extend its support for students and staff of JNIAS for undertaking these projects in the Schools, Departments and Centres of JNIAS.
  • JNTUH and JNIAS will jointly organize Seminars, Conferences, Training Programmes and other academic activities.
  • The admitted research scholars / students are free to use the Library and Lab facilities and free to consult the faculty members of both the JNTUH and JNIAS in their academic and research work on par with the regular JNTUH scholars/ students.
  • The periodical and final evaluation of the student's work through the prescribed Tests and Examinations will be carried out according to the JNTUH Academic rules & regulations.
  • Degrees and P.G Diplomas will be awarded by the JNTUH, Hyderabad.
     
    
 
   

2. MOU with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Anantapur (JNTUA), Anantapur

An Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) has been entered into between Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Anantapur (JNTUA), Anantapur and Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Advanced Studies (JNIAS), Hyderabad on 11th  March 2011 for offering collaborative Ph.D, M.Phil and Training Programmes.

 
   

JNTUA, a leading Technological University offering P.G Programmes and Ph.D Programmes in cutting edge technologies and intending to participate in the Institute Cooperation Project hereby recognises JNIAS as an Advanced Research Institute for offering Ph.D., M.Phil, and Training Programmes on a permanent basis.

JNTUA and JNIAS hereby agree to collaborate in making policy guidelines and also to design, develop and implement the Ph.D., M.Phil, and Training Programmes in the disciplines relating to the following Schools and Centres of JNIAS in accordance with the terms of this MOU.

  1. International School for Computer Science and Information Technology
  2. School for Management and Training
  3. Centre for Biotechnology & Bioinformatics
  4. Centre for Environment  and Climate Change
  5. Centre for Water Resources
  6. Centre for Energy
  7. School of Basic Sciences (Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry)
  8. Centre for Pharmaceutical Sciences

In addition to the above disciplines both JNTUA and JNIAS agree to offer Ph.D/M.Phil  programmes in all the faculties in which JNTUA is offering such  programmes.

     
    
 
   

3. MOU withAcharya Nagarjuna University (ANU), Guntur

The School of Planning & Architecture of JNIAS is recognized as an Advanced Research Institute by Acharya Nagarjuna University (ANU), Guntur, Andhra Pradesh for offering Ph.D and P.G programmes in architecture and allied disciplines on a permanent basis. 

 
     
    
 
   

4. MOU with Andhra University, Visakhapatnam

JNIAS has entered into an Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on 14th November 2014 with
Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, constituted in the year 1926, is the first residential and teaching cum affiliating University mainly devoted to post-graduate teaching and research. The University pioneered in introducing many new courses in Science, Arts, Management and Engineering in the Country

 
   

In accordance with the MOU, Andhra University hereby recognizes JNIAS as an Advanced Research Institute for offering Ph.D., P.G., P.G Diploma and Training Programmes on a permanent basis.
Andhra University and JNIAS hereby agree to collaborate in making policy guidelines as also design, develop and implement the Ph.D., P.G., P.G Diploma and Training Programmes in the following disciplines in accordance with the MOU:

  • Environmental Sciences
  • Microbiology
  • Computer Science and Engineering
  • Energy Systems
  • Biotechnology
  • Management 
  • Water Resources
  • Electronics and Communication Engineering
  • Civil Engineering
  • Pharmaceutical Sciences
  • Nano Science and Technology
  • Basic Sciences (Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry)

The terms and conditions of the said MOU include the following among others:

  • The Ph.D., P.G., P.G Diploma and Training Programmes in the above disciplines shall be offered jointly by Andhra University and JNIAS. 
  • The programmes shall be offered on a regular basis (which includes full-time and part-time programmes.
  • Andhra University contribution shall be in the form of finalizing the policy guidelines and act as facilitator in achieving implementation of the Ph.D., P.G., P.G. Diploma and Training Programmes.

5. MOU with KIMS FOUNDATION & RESEARCH CENTER (KFRC) on 7th January, 2015

JNIAS has entered into an MOU with KIMS FOUNDATION & RESEARCH CENTER (KFRC) on 7th January, 2015 for joint research collaboration in various areas of research including Oncology. JNIAS and KFRC shall be collaborating with each other, utilizing and sharing the facilities, expertise specific to the collaborative works / projects proposed in the area of Oncology to start with.

 
   

The research proposals are mainly focused on studying genetic variants and protein profile in various human cancers. Histologically proven Cancer biopsy samples will be provided by KFRC. Genomics, study of genetic mutations and identifying the SNPs will be done by Centre for Biotechnology & Bioinformatics, JNIAS, and Proteomics work will be done by KFRC scientists.  KFRC Ethics Committee’s approval will be obtained prior to the starting/initiation of the project.
Duration:  The term of this MOU is three years
Intellectual property:
(a) All Intellectual property rights would be shared equally by the respective parties in the research program.
(b) Any scientific publications resulting out of the research plan would have nominees of both parties.
(c) The patent rights royalty, process/product registration will be based on investment made by the respective parties to the agreement or as the case may be.
